MultiVendor Dropshipping Extensions for Magento

I've searched and searched and there are no free dropshipping extensions available for Magento. How can something so needed be so unavailable for free? I mean, even OSCommerce's Loaded Commerce offers a free version. Here a Developerz Block we want to create a free one, and maybe a version with paid extras. Something's got to give, I have vendors I want to add to my ecommerce site, but I don't want to risk the lost costs.
